The 22-year-old from Nyeri gained widespread attention after attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest time hugging a tree.

Muthoni embarked on the tree-hugging marathon, clocking an impressive 72 hours non-stop, surpassing her previous record of 48 hours.

The new record is yet to be ratified, with the Guinness World Records team stating that they are awaiting her submission.
