“A few weeks after finishing that program, the first man I met had that name. And I was like Hallelujah. The Lord has answered my prayer. He watched His word to perform it and backs it up with scripture. Are they in church? No. I just heard the name. He was tall and handsome, that’s it. You quickly learn very differently; give yourself time. So to, and eventually we broke up,” she said.
According to Grace, she knew the relationship was unhealthy because everybody around her was against it, and she had changed into someone else.
“People around you are not happy; they see the red flag that you don’t. My mum saw them, my dad never supported, and that is when I said I am old enough, let me get my own place. And my father was like who is this girl? I just became someone else; you become a totally different person. And that is a sign something is off,” she said.
The media personality also narrated how she struggled for years with the guilt of not saying goodbye to her father, who died in May 2010.
“Here I am, horrible breakup, losing my dad, it was just one thing after another. The ex reaches out. And I say this only to share that grief can be dangerous. How you handle grief, take that pain to God. If you are a believer, take that pain to him and let him heal you and work on your heart. When he reached out to say sorry for the loss, that is when I became a mother,” she added.
