Popular Kalenjin gospel artist Sharon Chepngeno and her husband, Rana Captain from Keringet, are recovering in hospital following a road accident that occurred at Mosoriot while they were travelling to Bomet.

According to reports, the couple’s vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a Kenya Power Land Cruiser.
Where is Sharon admitted?
Daktari Kelvin Kipchirchir Ufa told TUKO.co.ke that they were rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret for emergency care.

Thereafter, the couple was admitted to St Luke’s Hospital, Eldoret, where they are currently receiving treatment.
Medical sources indicate that both are in stable condition, with Rana Captain sustaining a leg injury while Sharon suffered a fractured hand.
The incident comes days after Christmas and just weeks after Sharon celebrated a major milestone in her music career.

What award did Sharon win?
On December 13, she emerged as the Best Gospel Artist at the KMFA Gospel Awards, an event hosted by Hon Ngong Johana Ngeno in Eldoret.
The award marked a proud moment for the singer and her supporters, recognising her growing influence in the gospel music scene.
