KIMC is offering eight of the nine job vacancies on permanent and pensionable terms, while one position is on a contract basis.

What is the application process for KIMC jobs?

The state institution announced the job opportunities in an advertisement in the government newspaper MyGov.go.ke on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, and set a deadline of Wednesday, February 4, 2026, for Kenyans to submit their applications.

KIMC offers training in postgraduate, diploma and certificate levels in communication and cinematic Arts.

“Candidates who meet the requirements are invited to send their applications quoting the job reference number, accompanied by a signed application letter; a detailed Curriculum Vitae; copies of academic and professional certificates, national identity card, transcripts and testimonials; daytime contacts; full names and contacts of three referees.

The applications should be addressed to the director /CEO, Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, Uholo Road (South B), Off Mombasa Road, P.O. Box 42422-00100, Nairobi,” it stated.

What should KIMC candidates note?

Career development associate Simon Ingari advised Kenyans seeking jobs at KIMC to research the institution and understand its vision and mission, since questions on the organisation will arise in interviews.

“Understand its values, culture, current projects, and mission. Tailor your CV and cover letter to reflect alignment with their priorities,” he told TUKO.co.ke.

Ingari recommended that candidates should customise their applications.

“Avoid generic CVs and show measurable achievements. Highlight experience and skills that directly match the job description,” he added.

In other job-related news, Equity Bank advertised over 20 entry, middle and managerial-level job vacancies for Kenyan graduates and professionals.

Relationship managers, a communications and advertising manager, and a sustainability analyst are among the open positions.
