In a notice, Kenya Power indicated that some of its customers will experience electricity interruptions on Thursday, January 22.

Which counties will be affected by power maintenance?

According to the notice, some areas in six counties will be without electricity for several hours starting at 8.00 am.

The counties to be affected by the planned maintenance are Nairobi, Nyeri, Nyandarua, Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Kirinyaga.

1. Party of Nairobi County

Area: Whole of Mpweke Lane (9. 00 am – 5.00 pm)

Total South B, Part of Kapiti Road, Whole of Mpweke Lane and adjacent customers.

2. Parts of Nyandarua County

Area: Parts of Engineer, Ndunyu Njeru, Njambini ( 9 am- 4.30 pm)

Whole of Engineer, Murungaru,Turasha Memo, Kirathimo, Chuma, Thindi, Munyaka, Whole of Njambini, Sasumua Dam, Soilo, Kinamba, Yanga, Ndinda, Karima Girls, NYS Naivasha and adjacent customers.

4. Parts of Nandi County

Area: Kapkagaron, Kilibwoni, Tulon Quaary (9 am – 5 pm)

Kapkagaron, Centre Kwanza, Kilibwoni, Tulon Quarry and adjacent customers.

5. Parts of Nyeri County

Area: Solio Ranch, Solio Water Pump (9 am – 5 pm)

Solio Ranch, Solio Water Pump, Solio Lodge, Solio Cattle Dip, Solio Village and adjacent customers.

6. Parts of Kirinyaga County

Area: Makutano, Mutithi, Mwea (9 am – 5 pm)
