Pastor James Ng’ang’a has responded to circulating claims that his Nairobi-based Neno Evangelism Centre is set to be demolished.

The rumours began after videos surfaced online showing a bulldozer allegedly taking down the sanctuary, sparking concern among his supporters.
Was Neno Evangelism Centre demolished?
In a clip from a recent live session, Pastor Ng’ang’a addressed the reports, reassuring the public that his church has not been demolished.
He revealed that many followers had reached out to offer support after seeing the viral video.

“People have been calling me, some even sympathising with me because the church has been demolished. There is no church that has been demolished, the church has not been demolished,” he said.
Speaking in a sarcastic tone, Ng’ang’a added that even if the church were taken down, it would not worry him.
“Even if the church were to be demolished, it is not my kiosk. If it will be demolished, that is not something that will worry me because there is nowhere you can defend God,” he said.
He urged his supporters to stop feeling sorry for him, explaining that he himself is not concerned about the alleged demolition. The preacher also took a jab at the state, which is rumoured to be behind the planned action.
“I bought that land from the Central Bank, which is the government. Kenya Railways is also the government. If they did some fishy business between them, then let them mind their own business,” he added.
Ng’ang’a then challenged those allegedly planning the demolition to take action.
“If you want to, just come tomorrow. Does God not have eyes? How many years will you be here?”

In 2025, Nairobi county officials visited Pastor Ng’ang’a’s church to issue a notice regarding a disputed KSh 10 million land rate debt on his property.
