Kenyan celebrities have been sharing the results their kids garnered in the 2025 Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA), which were announced in December 2025.

Out of the 1.13 million candidates, approximately 75% performed at or above the “Approaching Expectations” level, ensuring a 100% transition rate to senior school.

The results were released without traditional ranking, and students were to be placed into senior school pathways such as STEM, social sciences, and the arts based on their performance.

TUKO.co.ke featured several famous personalities who came out to share which schools their children were joining.

1. Oga Obinna

YouTuber Oga Obinna was among the celebrities who had kids sitting for the KJSEA and took to social media to share that his son, Liron, had passed.

He also expressed frustration with the Ministry of Education over his son’s high school placement days after the results were announced.

Although his son performed exceptionally well, he was admitted to Ituru Boys in Gatundu, a boarding school he did not select and which is located far from home.

Obinna, who prefers a day school for his firstborn son, questioned why students are being assigned to schools they never picked during the selection process.

Some netizens urged him to consider taking his son to the school as it was a performing instutution while others empathised with his situation.

The YouTuber also highlighted a similar predicament faced by his nephew, and he reached out to his followers for recommendations on suitable alternative schools.

2. Dr Ofweneke

Veteran comedian Dr Ofweneke and his former partner, Nicah the Queen, recently celebrated their firstborn daughter, Faith Sande, as she transitioned to high school.

Faith, who performed exceptionally well in her 2025 KJSEA exams, was officially admitted to State House Girls’ High School in Nairobi.

Despite their past separation, the two parents showcased a harmonious co-parenting relationship by sharing heartwarming social media posts to mark the milestone.

Ofweneke described the achievement as his “first win of 2026,” expressing great pride in his daughter’s success and the special bond they share.

3. Diana Marua and Bahati

Content creator Diana Marua shared her son Morgan Bahati’s impressive KJSEA results, where he scored 68 out of 72 points with “exceeding expectations” remarks in all subjects.

To celebrate his academic achievement, Diana gifted him a new iPhone as he had previously requested, leading to an emotional family celebration captured on video.

The YouTuber turned musician expressed immense pride in Morgan’s performance, especially following their intentional decision to move him to a more grounded school environment.

Bahati, on the other hand, could not hide his emotions as he praised Morgan for a job well done in getting great results.

Morgan secured a placement at the prestigious Lenana School in Nairobi. His parents, Bahati and Diana Marua, celebrated the milestone by accompanying him to the renowned national school to begin his senior studies.

4. Wanja Nyarari

Social media personality Wanja Nyarari celebrated a proud moment as her daughter, Alyssa Wanja, officially joined the prestigious Riara Springs Girls’ High School for Grade 10.

This milestone follows Alyssa’s excellent performance in the inaugural KJSEA exams, where she exceeded expectations in two subjects and met expectations in all others.

Despite the family currently grieving the recent loss of Wanja’s sister, Nancy, the children insisted on prioritising the first day of school to ensure a strong start.

Wanja shared photos of the registration process on social media, praising her daughter’s maturity and commitment to her education during a difficult emotional period.

5. Fred Indimuli

Veteran media personality Fred Indimuli also recently shared that his second-born daughter was joining high school after gaining great results.

He shared photos on his Instagram stories showing his daughter getting admitted to high school. He was accompanied by his firstborn daughter, who completed KCSE in 2023.

Did Eric Omondi fundraise for a student?

In a different report, veteran comedian Eric Omondi recently intervened to help John Mwangi, a brilliant student who was unable to join the prestigious Alliance High School due to a lack of KSh 54,000 in fees.

Despite scoring 64 points in the KJSEA exams, Mwangi was found working at a quarry in Mukuru kwa Njenga to try and raise the money himself.

Through his “Team Sisi kwa Sisi” initiative, Omondi rallied Kenyans to contribute funds for the boy’s education and to help his father start a sustainable business.
