The three who are no more include Emmanuel Nyori DeLeon (13), young Kairu (6), and Emmanuel Kairu. At the same time, their sister Njeri (16), who sustained serious injuries from the accident, is currently receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

How were kids mourned in US?
Back in the US, the school and community that know the DeLeon family were equally devastated as they shared the news about the untimely deaths.
“On January 4, while on a dream family trip to Kenya, the family was involved in a tragic accident. We are heartbroken to share that Emmanuel, one of our 8th graders at Hoover Middle School, and his younger brother Kairo, passed away at the scene,” said Hoover Middle School on their Facebook page.
“Their older sister, Njeri, a junior at West High and a previous Hoover Hawk, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in critical condition at a hospital in Kenya,” read another part.
