The Red Devils pulled off a masterful performance in successive weeks to beat the league leaders in North London.
Bryan Mbeumo, Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha bagged a goal apiece to hand Michael Carrick his second win in as many games in his second spell in charge.
Arsenal were the perceived favourites on paper to open a seven-point lead at the top of the table, but ended up dropping points for the third Premier League game in a row.

What did Amad Diallo say after Arsenal defeat?
After the game, Diallo launched a brutal clapback at a fan on his official X account, stating that Arsenal’s only hopes were setpieces.
“Your only hope is corner. Be humble, KID,” he said.
The post from the Ivorian forward, who returned from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations two weeks ago, elicited sharp responses.
Gunner Uni said,
“Saying this against a team that has just lost its 3rd game in 35 matches when you spent almost 3 years without stringing wins together is pathetic.”
Gooner Time said,
“They just won their first game against us in nearly 4 years. They are 12 points behind us in the league and out of every cup competition. This player is a failed winger turned full-back. And he is telling an Arsenal fan to ‘be humble’? You have to laugh at these guys, man.”
While Monarch said,
“Is this actually really Amad’s account. If so, he has absolutely cooked both on and off the pitch.”

Michael Carrick: We need to be humble
Speaking after the game, Carrick’s sentiments were contrary to Diallo’s post as the interim manager asked his players to stay humble.
“I’m not getting all carried away, we’ve got some bigger games coming up, because the next game is always the bigger game. So we’re not getting carried away. We’ve got really important things coming up, and we need to keep improving. Two massive games, there’s a lot of emotion, a lot of energy and a lot of confidence that you can take, but we’ve got to be humble and understand how we’ve got these results. That’s really important moving forward,” he said via Manchester United’s website.
Why Arsenal were denied penalty despite Maguire’s handball
In another report, Arsenal were denied a penalty despite the ball hitting Harry Maguire’s arm.
Maguire blocked Merino’s shot with his hand, but the referee didn’t award a penalty, much to the frustration of Arsenal fans.
Football laws explain why such incidents are not penalised.
