The celebrated gospel deejay took to social media to mourn his beloved wife, Joyce Wanjiru Karumba.
What killed DJ Krowbar’s wife?
According to a statement released by her family, Joy, as she was popularly known, died on January 26, at 3 am while receiving treatment.
In the statement, the family explained that the mother of three died from kidney-related complications. Wanjiru developed complications after a kidney transplant in 2025.
“…she faced subsequent complications. Though an infection towards the end of the year was managed, recent weeks presented further medical challenges. She was briefly home two weeks ago before being readmitted for care,” read part of the statement.
