Police in the United Kingdom have launched an urgent appeal to trace a Kenyan woman who has gone missing, sparking growing concern among her family, friends and the wider community.

According to the Kenyan Diaspora Media, 30-year-old Edna Mmbali Ombakho, who lives in Wraysbury, has not been seen since February 1.
Where was Edna studying?
Officers say they are increasingly worried about her welfare and are asking members of the public to come forward with any information that may help locate her.
Edna is an MSc student at York St John University, where she is described by those who know her as focused, warm and deeply committed to her studies.
Her sudden disappearance has left loved ones distressed and searching for answers. She is described as a Black woman of small build, 5 feet tall, with braided hair.
At the time she was last seen, Edna was wearing a long khaki coat with a fur-lined hood, knee-high boots and glasses.

Back home in Kitale, Edna’s family is also appealing directly to the public, urging anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to get in touch.
“We are deeply concerned for her safety and are asking anyone who may have seen or heard from her to please come forward,” read the emotional appeal.

Kenyan man homeless in Australia
In another heartbreaking story, concern has spread through the Kenyan diaspora after videos circulated online showing a Kenyan man living on the streets of Australia.
The man identified as Ian Kimtai is an alumnus of St Joseph’s Boys High School, Kitale, one of Kenya’s most respected secondary schools.
