For the past few months, Kiptum’s widow has maintained her silence on social media.

She and her in-laws have been squabbling over her late husband’s money. Kiptum’s mother and father claim they have not been receiving any help.

They further alleged that their daughter-in-law had deserted them and moved to Nairobi after travelling to Rotterdam.

Mzee Cheruiyot added that she was the only one receiving financial help from Kiptum’s management company, Golazo.

Golazo had previously told TUKO.co.ke that they had not deserted the family.

Kiptum’s father claimed that Asaneth had not visited her husband’s gravesite, and they had not seen their grandchildren.

Asenath shared two children with her late husband, and in 2025, before deleting content from her TikTok account, she shared several videos of her children.

Kenyans praised her for taking care of her children well after her husband’s untimely passing.

After her in-laws’ accusation in 2025, right before her husband’s first death anniversary, she disappeared from social media.

Has Kiptum’s widow resurfaced?

Asenath loved sharing videos and photos on social media, showcasing her lifestyle and fashion moments.

When her in-laws attacked her, she deleted her TikTok videos and stayed off social media until recently.

She re-shared a video on her Instagram Stories showing her having fun with her friends. In the video, she was seated in a restaurant, enjoying drinks.

Kiptum’s widow was all smiles while in the company of her friends.

Kenyans have been in support of Asenath, adding that she deserved to live her life after fulfilling her roles as a wife.

Many have noted that she was entitled to her husband’s property and to take care of the two children who would carry on his legacy.

What did Kiptum’s family reveal?

The late athlete’s father commemorated her son during his second death anniversary earlier this month.

The heartbroken Mzee Cheruiyot revealed he struggled to pay his grandchild’s school fees. Kiptum’s parents had acknowledged their son’s mistress and her child.

In a previous report, Kiptum’s mum had revealed that she sends money to her son’s mistress and prayed that one day their grandchildren would mingle and live together in harmony.

He also shared his troubles in trying to get his son’s final resting place cemented. He also claimed his daughter-in-law was with a government official.

Mzee Cheruiyot claimed that Asenath and the government official were exploiting their family since Kiptum’s death.
