A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer left many in awe after orchestrating a truly unique proposal for his girlfriend.

Jackson Mungwari, also known as Gamaray Kizazi on social media, proposed to the love of his life at a police station.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Jackson said he met his girlfriend, now fiancée, Judith Nyaga, two years ago, describing their journey as beautiful and soulful.

How did KDF officer plan proposal at police station?

He meticulously planned the surprise, coordinating with officers at Kinoo Police Station.

“Judith works at Absa Bank, Lavington branch, and as part of the plan, she was called in under the impression that there was an issue involving a missing customer’s money and that she was a suspect. It was purely a dramatic surprise and was arranged with the full knowledge and support of the officers involved,” he explained.

The officers took her to the police station for questioning over the fabricated issue.

In a clip shared on Jackson’s TikTok page, Judith could be seen cooperating with the officers, looking visibly confused. She was then allowed to call someone for help—and she called her boyfriend, who arrived a few minutes later.

“Please come to Kinoo Police Station. I don’t really know what I did, but just come,” she said, while being held in the cell, awaiting Jackson’s arrival.

Minutes later, he arrived at the station. Judith was released to meet him at the entrance, where he immediately went down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage.

“I feel this is the right time, and I want to be with you. There will be times when situations are hard, but I promise to be there for you through it all. I want to take this moment to tell you that I love you from the bottom of my heart and promise to care for you all my life. Please, will you marry me?” Jackson said.

Judith, still trying to process what was happening, broke down in tears of joy as the officers cheered, urging her to say yes, which she did. Jackson then placed the ring on her finger, and the lovebirds embraced warmly.

“This is true love, you’re arrested and then asked to be someone’s wife,” joked one officer.

How did Judith react to the police station proposal?

Jackson noted that his fiancée was initially confused because she had never directly handled customer money, and the situation genuinely puzzled her.

“She felt like our lives had suddenly taken a sharp turn, and she worried she might lose her job. She was even thinking about how we would manage our responsibilities if that happened. That shows the kind of woman she is—responsible and forward-thinking,” he said.

However, when Jackson arrived at the station and proposed, her fears instantly turned to joy, creating an emotional and unforgettable moment for both of them.

The KDF officer expressed his happiness and gratitude that the beautiful and loving woman said yes.

The couple, who live in Kikuyu, Kinoo area, are not yet married but plan to have a military-style wedding in the near future.

“To young men out there: do what makes you happy and be intentional about love. Plan your life with courage, responsibility, and faith. The Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 11:9: ‘Enjoy your youth, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.’ Live fully, love boldly, but always be responsible,” he advised.
