Kitengela Rally: Mjengo Man who Served Babu, Sifuna at Fastfood Joint Seeks Help with Placard

Kajiado, Kenya: Joseph Oduor Musumba, a man who used to serve Embakasi East legislator Babu Owino and Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna at a Kenchic outlet in Hurlingham, has asked them to help him as he is suffering.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Musumba said that the two used to frequent a Kenchic joint in Hurlingham, Nairobi, about 15 years ago, and he would serve chips and share a little banter with both of them.

How did Musumba help Babu and Sifuna?

“The placard read: ‘Babu and Sifuna, I used to feed you kuku and chips at Kenchic Inn Hurlingham; please, it is your time to remember me. Don’t let me die working mjengo jobs,'” he said.

“The two were my friends and clients; we had a very good time with them. At the moment, my situation is diffic ult as I lost my job, but when life is difficult, you do not need to give up but fight on. They are the only ones who know they can help me, either with a business or a job,” he explained.

Man who dropped out of school seeks Nyoro’s help

In another story, a young man who was tired of being a school dropout asked MP Ndindi Nyoro for help to resume his education after dropping out of Form Three.

Nyoro’s Masomo Bora programme benefits 12,000 students with reduced fees as well as improved infrastructure, and it appeals to many people. Some Kenyan MPs politicians expresed frustration over the initiative and feared it reflected poorly on them
