The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced a mass recruitment drive for its May to July 2026 Industrial Attachment Programme.

The authority is inviting continuing students from universities and colleges across the country to apply for positions in a wide range of disciplines.

The programme, which forms part of the government’s broader youth initiative, aims to provide young Kenyans with an opportunity to acquire practical aspects of their respective fields of study in partial fulfilment of their degree or diploma programmes.

With the application deadline set for Friday, March 6, 2026, interested candidates have less than two weeks to complete the online registration process through the KRA e-recruitment portal.

Who is eligible to apply for KRA industrial attachment?

The tax authority has outlined specific requirements that applicants must meet to be considered for the attachment positions:

  • Be a Kenyan citizen aged below 35 years
  • Be a continuing first-degree (undergraduate) student in their third, fourth, or final year of study
  • Be a diploma student in their final year of study from a recognised university or college
  • Have a valid introduction letter from their university or college
  • Be available full-time for the entire three-month duration of the programme from May to July 2026

KRA has emphasised that the attachment programme is non-extendable, and selected candidates must commit to the full three-month period.

What is the application process for KRA industrial attachment?

KRA has outlined a clear step-by-step application process, with all submissions required through its e-recruitment portal.

Applicants must first register on the portal by clicking the “Register” button and confirming their email address through a verification link sent after registration.

They should then log in using their username and password to access the “Applicant Cockpit,” where they are required to complete their candidate profile by filling in all mandatory fields under the “My Profile” section and finalising it by clicking “Overview and Release.”

Once the profile is complete, candidates can navigate to the “Employment Opportunities” tab, start a job search to view available vacancies, select their preferred position, and click “Apply.”

The process concludes with reviewing and accepting the data privacy statement before submitting the application by clicking “Send Application Now.”

The selected undergraduate and diploma students will receive a monthly stipend of KSh 7,000. This amount is subject to applicable statutory deductions.

Applications for AFRIKA KOMMT! fellowship

The German Embassy in Nairobi has called for applications for the 15th intake of the AFRIKA KOMMT! fellowship, which is offering young Kenyan professionals a one-year placement in leading German companies.

The 2026/2027 programme will provide 35 fellowship positions across seven partner firms, combining hands-on corporate experience with leadership development and exposure to German business culture.
