In a story shared on NTV Kenya, it emerged that a mother and her children hatched a plan to eliminate Peter Kimani on Sunday after an alleged dispute over land.
One of Kimani’s daughters, Joyce Wanjiru, said her workers were unable to access the equipment they needed, and when the young lady entered the house, she found her father lying in a pool of blood and started screaming, only to realise too late that the old man had been badly injured on the head.
“We hurriedly took him to the hospital, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries,” said a close relative.

“When we were crying outside the house, the woman and her children appeared and started crying, pretending that they were mourning their dad, but even the tears did not come from their eyes,” claimed another woman.

How was Kimani being treated earlier?
Two blood-stained wooden rods found in the pit latrine were recovered by the police, and it is believed to have been used in the assault.
A granddaughter of the deceased man said that when they met him, he had scratches on his hand. When they asked him, he said that he had just been scratched, but a child told them that someone had bitten him.
“They allegedly tried poisoning and failed, which made him resort to eating at the house of another relative. They have been having long-standing disputes over land. They want to sell land, and every child wants to get some money from it,” said the granddaughter.
