Ngeno passed away alongside five others after the helicopter they were travelling in crashed in Chepkiep Forest, Mosop, Nandi County.
Reports indicate that poor weather and limited visibility played a major role in the tragedy. Eyewitnesses explained that the pilot had first landed the chopper, consulted locals about the weather, and then took off again minutes later before the crash occurred.
Following Ngeno’s death, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula appointed a team of legislators to oversee burial arrangements and coordinate support for the late MP’s family.
