How MP Ngeno’s chopper crashed
The Emurua Dikirr legislator perished after a helicopter, registration number 5Y-DSB, crashed in Chepkiep Forest moments after take-off.
The aircraft burst into flames, killing all six people on board. Among the five others who lost their lives was Ngeno’s personal photographer and a journalist identified as Nick Kosgei.
Just hours before the fatal accident, the MP had taken to Facebook to share updates from the field as he documented his visit to affected areas following heavy rains.
