According to Katam, Ng’eno texted him in his local Kalenjin language, telling him: “eiye, roisi kokoromit” which, when loosely translated, means “things do not look good.”

Though the PA did not reveal the context of their conversation, many were surprised that it seemed to foreshadow his impending end.

“Boss, why you? Why now?” the PA wrote.

Eyewitnesses share how chopper crashed

This comes as eyewitnesses share what they saw as the helicopter crashed on the evening of Saturday.

A Nandi man said that the helicopter had made an emergency landing, only to take off two minutes later.

“We heard the helicopter, and it was about to make an emergency landing. It was hovering, looking for a place to land, and it did. Then I saw as if one of the passengers was asking the pilot to proceed with the journey. When it took off, it went down two minutes later,” he said.

Another witness noted that they found bodies scattered around the scene of the accident.
