The Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament was happily married to one wife, Nayianoi Ntutu Ngeno, and they were blessed with two adorable girls.
The loving father often posted about his children, celebrated them, and his last post about the two little angels was on February 22, during their mother’s birthday.
Ngeno posted a lovely video of himself, his wife, and their two children during Ntutu’s birthday, wishing her the best. The romantic husband showered his better half with love on her special day.
In the video, the MP fed his wife cake before feeding their children and family members who were present. The loving man then gifted Ntutu flowers before kissing her. He layered the video with Otile Brown and Sanaipei’s song Chaguo la Moyo. The video resurfaced after Ngeno’s tragic death, leaving Kenyans heartbroken.
On March 1, as mourners thronged Ngeno’s Nairobi Karen home to condole with his family, a eulogy book was positioned outside his house, with a portrait of him. In the photo, the MP posed in traditional Maasai outfits.
Photos of Ngeno’s first daughter holding a pen while scribbling in the eulogy book touched many. Oblivious to what was happening, the playful girl was all smiles as she wrote in the book. Inside the house was Ngeno’s grieving widow, in tears as family members comforted her.
The young widow, dressed in a black dress, broke down in tears every moment mourners entered the house to console her. The photos went viral as Kenyans prayed for the young family.

What to know about Johanna Ngeno’s death
Father of Johanna Ngeno’s photographer speaks
In another story, the family of the late Nick Kosgei revealed they had begun making burial arrangements for the journalist. Kosgei, who was the official photographer to Johanna Ngeno, died in the tragic crash alongside the MP and four others.
Speaking to Citizen TV, Kosgei’s father, Phillip Kosgei, recalled their last conversation. On Friday, February 27, the grieving father sent Nick a text with bank details to pay his sister’s school fees. Phillip recalled trying to follow up the following morning to confirm whether the fees had been paid and to obtain the bank slip.
Unlike other days, Kosgei did not respond, seemingly busy with the late MP. It was only later that evening that the family learned about his tragic death through social media.
Phillip also reflected on the promises his ambitious son had made before his life was cut short.
