Following the tragedy, an emotional video has emerged showing the MP delivering what would later become his final public speech.
Details of Johana Ng’eno’s last speech before death
The video was recorded during a political gathering in Endebess, where Ng’eno spoke about leadership, elections, and peaceful political competition ahead of the 2027 General Election.
During the speech, Ng’eno emphasised that 2027 elections would likely be decided by development performance rather than personality politics.
He encouraged leaders to focus on delivering services to the people rather than relying on popularity or public speaking skills.
“There is no one who will be re-elected based on their appearance, or whether they know how to talk much. You will only be given votes based on the work you have done,” he said.
Ng’eno also spoke about maintaining peace during election campaigns and urged political supporters to avoid chaos.
What Ng’eno said about Ruto in final speech
He reminded the gathering that the country had approximately 16 months remaining before the next general election and called for peaceful political competition.
Ng’eno also spoke about President William Ruto, saying that because of his development record, he was likely to secure a second term in office.
“We are remaining with approximately 16 months to the next election. I want us to vote peacefully, without chaos. We want a peaceful process. And we know, owing to the good work that the president has done, we will give him a second term,” he said as the crowd clapped and cheered.
The MP also addressed political competition in the country, saying he had no problem with politicians traveling across Kenya to campaign for votes.
He mentioned former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua as an example of leaders who were campaigning in different regions.
“We do not have any problem with anybody. Those who are going around right now, like that former deputy president, or that one who was the minister of interior, let them walk. There is no problem. Some were entrusted with huge responsibilities, let them show us what they have done. On election day, we will evaluate everybody based on their work,” he said.

Moments after the speech, the helicopter that would later crash was seen hovering above the gathering, preparing for departure.
Ng’eno briefly acknowledged that the aircraft had started moving, but he chose to finish his remarks before leaving.
He also made a donation of KSh 300,000 to the event before concluding his speech.
“I see the helicopter has started making movements. I do not want it to leave me behind. Therefore, let me give my donation and then I go,” he said.
