The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the opening of applications for Technical and Vocational Education and Training programmes ahead of the May 2026 intake.

In a notice to prospective students, the placement agency said candidates who sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2025.

Those who completed secondary school in earlier years are also eligible to apply for the available courses.

Interested applicants are required to submit their choices through the KUCCPS student portal, where they can select programmes offered in national polytechnics, technical training institutes, institutes of science and technology, and other recognised technical colleges.

The agency noted that TVET programmes are open to learners with different KCSE grades, meaning candidates with any mean grade can explore the available options depending on their interests and career goals.

Application deadline for KUCCPS TVET May 2026 placement

Applications will be accepted until March 18, 2026, after which the placement body will begin the process of assigning students to various institutions.

TVET colleges provide hands-on training in fields such as engineering, information technology, hospitality, construction and business, helping students gain practical skills required in the job market.

“Attention 2025 KCSE class! You can now apply for TVET courses offered in national polytechnics, technical training institutes, institutes of science and technology and other technical colleges, for May 2026 intake. With any KCSE mean grade, you can find a course! Log in to the KUCCPS Student’s portal https://students.kuccps.ac.ke/ and apply a TVET course of your choice! The application is also open to form four leavers of other years. The deadline is 18/3/2026,” KUCCPS said in the statement.
