Nairobi – Luqman Ali Farah, the frontrunner for the South C ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) has highlighted his development plans ahead of the 2027 General Election.

On Friday, March 27, Luqman was among the leaders who attended the highly impactful and well-organised National Delegates Conference (NDC) of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) at Jamhuri Grounds.
The youthful politician said the move was to reaffirm his unwavering commitment to the people and to the ODM party ahead of the upcoming election.
During the successful ODM SDC meeting held at Jamhuri Showground, Luqman engaged with grassroots leaders and stakeholders, emphasising unity, inclusivity, and a shared vision for a better South C.
“We remain loyal to our party because it represents the voice and aspirations of our people,” Luqman said.
He further assured residents that his leadership will prioritise practical solutions, youth empowerment, improved infrastructure, enhanced security, and accessible community services.
According to the young politician, this marks a significant step in building a people-centred movement focused on real change, accountability, and sustainable development for South C.
“The journey towards a transformed South C has begun. The 2027 vision is about leadership that delivers for the people first,” he stated.

If elected in 2027, Luqman has vowed to ensure the county government addresses unsafe construction and structural failures.
He also pledged to deal with the high prevalence of illegal or non-compliant construction, including high-rise buildings (up to 16 storeys) being constructed without proper approvals, which has led to collapses, loss of life, and damage to neighbouring property.
In terms of the drainage systems’ challenges, in the ward, like other parts of the county, Luqman promised to upgrade the existing ones to international standards so that the residents can have a better environment.

Speaking on Sunday, March 15, Luqman expressed confidence in winning the seat currently held by Abass Khalif, who is eyeing the Lang’ata parliamentary seat.
The city politician highlighted his vision for South C residents, which he said will be based on empowering people and building a stronger community.
According to Luqman, South C has incredible potential, and with the right leadership, the ward can unlock potential for youths.
While noting that leadership is about action, Luqman promised to work closely with residents to ensure solutions are arrived at quickly.
He promised to prioritise community safety by strengthening policing, improving street lighting, and collaborating with security agencies and residents.
Luqman, who has been at the forefront in helping flood victims, said he will also champion better infrastructure and services, including road repairs, improved drainage, and reliable waste collection.
