Her son, Gideon Mallan Naibei, successfully challenged her in court, alleging a lack of transparency and the concealment of assets like hidden shares.
According to the social media rumour the court ruled that her remarriage to Guardian had weakened her position and exclusive authority as a beneficiary and administrator.
The court ordered the estate to be shared equally among Naibei’s three children: Gideon, Gilda, and Glenn.
Esther’s children Gilda and Glen have spoken in her and Guardian’s defence. Gilda in her statement revealed that whatever is trending now dated back to 2017.

She admitted that sometimes, family disagreed, but she and her siblings respected their mother.
“I woke up to see that we were trending. I am not one to address rumors, but I find it necessary to clarify a few things. First, whatever is currently circulating dates back to 2017. We are now in 2026. While families may disagree, one thing remains clear my mother, @esther.musila, is a true matriarch. As her children, we respect and honour her leadership. Together with my late father, she built a foundation that we are all fortunate to benefit from, and that is where I firmly stand.”
She asked Kenyans to respect her late father and added that she was addressing the matter only because the online rumour was meant to attack their stepfather.
“My father, Erick, was a very private man to those who knew him. As we move forward, I urge everyone to respect those who are no longer with us. I am only addressing this matter because there are clear attempts to attack @guardianangelglobal. The truth is, he has been nothing but a source of healing and positivity in our lives. His impact is deeply personal and not something that can be fully understood from the outside. I am grateful that he loves my mother in the way she deserves, and he has been a true blessing to our family,” he said.

Gilda added that her stepfather was not in the picture when the original and legal decisions and changes were made.
She praised him as an accomplished individual who gained nothing and lost nothing beyond his marriage to Esher.
“For the record, Guardian Angel was not present when the original legal decisions and changes were made. As those in the legal profession understand, such matters require due process and proof. He neither gains nor loses anything beyond his personal marriage to my mother. Attempts to portray him negatively are both unfair and inaccurate. He is an accomplished individual a talented artist, a farmer, and a successful businessman. He has never needed anything from anyone. If anything, we are the ones who have benefited from having him in our lives. Moving forward, I ask that any claims be supported with facts,” she shared.
On behalf of the family, Esther’s son Glenn also addressed the matter in another statement, revealing that the family undertook the process of succession after their father’s passing in 2016.

“My name is Glenn Naibei, and I wish to address the ongoing rumours circulating on social media regarding my family. Following the passing of our father in 2016, our family lawfully undertook the process of succession. Letters of administration were duly issued, with our mother serving as the head administrator, alongside us as beneficiaries. This process was conducted in accordance with the law and with full transparency.”
He also reiterated his sister’s words, adding that whatever was circulating on social media was false and misleading.
“It has come to our attention that there are misleading claims suggesting that our mother has been disinherited or has lost her rights to any family property. We would like to state clearly and unequivocally that these claims are false. There has been no disinheritance of our mother at any point.”
Glenn noted that just like any other family, the normal legal mechanisms do not reflect the division within their family.
“Like many families, we have had internal legal processes over time, including court proceedings initiated to address administrative matters. These are normal legal mechanisms and do not reflect division or conflict within our family as is being portrayed publicly. We also wish to, firmly dismiss the allegations directed at our mother’s husband, Mr. Guardian Angel. Any suggestions that he has ulterior motives or is pursuing family property are baseless, malicious, and untrue. Thank you.”
