She bravely shared how her mother died during childbirth and how being abandoned by her father left her to care for her three younger siblings, including a newborn brother.
Nzisa was just 17 when she had to mature quickly, take on a parental role, and assume full responsibility for her siblings.
Life was difficult, but she never lost hope and hustled with the help of a few well-wishers to ensure her siblings had a place to sleep and food to eat.

When TUKO.co.ke aired her story, Kenyans from all walks of life reached out, sending financial support as well as prayers and words of encouragement.
Rose, the owner of Make-Up-by-Rose, went further: she offered Nzisa training at her beauty shop, made her a brand ambassador for one of her products, and even moved her and her siblings into a new house.
Overjoyed by the outpouring of support, Nzisa shared an update about how her life had changed over the past few weeks since her story went viral.
Where does Elizabeth Nzisa Live?
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, the 19-year-old expressed deep gratitude to everyone who had supported her.
“I am so happy and grateful. I have seen the hand of God through strangers rather than family. The two teachers who ensured my siblings went to school and gave me a job at the school—I will forever be indebted to you. Bazuu, who first aired my story on TikTok, thank you so much, and to TUKO.co.ke for making my story go viral, I say thank you,” she said.
She also thanked Rose, whom she now regards as a mother, noting that she is working tirelessly to secure Nzisa’s future.
Nzisa revealed that Rose is currently paying the rent for their new house in Umoja Estate and has promised her a one-year contract job once she completes her training.
“I just love her so much. It is because of her that we are now in this big house, and the kids are so, so happy,” she shared.

Has Kayole girl’s family reached out since her story went viral?
Nzisa confirmed that she has not heard from her father since Kenyans began helping her.
She explained that a few family members called, but they had nothing positive to say and showed no remorse for abandoning her and her siblings after her mother’s death.
After seeing her story on TUKO.co.ke, they called to complain about her, saying they were “bad people” and even told her never to return to their village.
The 19-year-old recalled how the same family members had never reached out or cared for them since her mother passed away.
“They didn’t even call to check on us. Some stopped picking my calls. I’m sure they didn’t even know where we lived, despite knowing my dad had left. Now, they call me claiming I said they were bad people, so they will just keep being bad, that’s all,” she explained.
Nzisa noted that she had planned to visit her village to tend to her mother’s grave, but family members warned her never to set foot there, saying she does not belong.
She claimed some even admitted they regretted burying her mother, calling it a mistake.
“And now they are calling me, telling me I should never set foot in that home because it’s their home, not mine just because I said they were bad people. Can you imagine that?” she said.

Did Elizabeth Nzisa’s family disown her?
Nzisa recently received a phone call from one of her uncles, based in Tanzania, scolding her for “tarnishing the family name.”
He reminded her of the times he had helped her mother when she was alive and later claimed Nzisa had refused to move to Tanzania, insisting she had no right to speak about the family on TUKO.co.ke.
“If those people were really helping me, I wouldn’t have had to share my story on TUKO. My uncle said he would only support us if we moved to Tanzania, so I couldn’t accept it,” she shared.
Nzisa said her family was angered because she had told the truth publicly, and now they have cut her and her siblings off.
“They said they’re done with us. I simply told them that God would deal with them properly. It was very harsh for them to tell me that burying my mother there was a mistake,” she said.
What plans does Rose have for Nzisa?
Rose shared that she got wind of Nzisa’s story through her personal assistant and decided to watch the interview.
She recalled listening to the girl’s story and becoming emotional, as she could relate to some of the experiences Nzisa had gone through growing up.
The makeup artist said she had also gone through a tough time at Nzisa’s age and felt compelled to help her.
“I saw myself in her, and I was really scared because everyone had shared her phone number. It was both a bad and a good thing, she was able to get the help she needed, but at the same time, there are predators out there,” she said.
She immediately put up a post on Facebook looking for Nzisa, and her comment section was flooded with Nzisa’s phone number, while others even shared her exact location.
Rose said her first priority was to rescue her and show her a better path so that no one, especially predators, could take advantage of her.
“At that time, you realise there is a level of desperation, and that desperation can be dangerous. Yet, because of her situation, she cannot easily leave the house as she has a two-year-old, making her vulnerable to exploitation,” she said.
Rose explained that she wanted to offer the girl long-term support and training that would help her stand on her own feet in the future.
She revealed that Nzisa had only completed Class Eight and had not gone to high school, making skill-based training a more practical option than returning to formal education.
“You can give her handouts and money repeatedly, but you can’t do that forever. At some point, it will stop, so what will the future hold for Elizabeth?” she posed.
She further noted that she already has a roadmap and a plan for Nzisa—to train her in business, travel with her abroad, and open her mind to the many opportunities she is capable of achieving.

Why did Rose warn men texting Nzisa?
In related news, TUKO.co.ke reported that Rose lashed out at men who were targeting the 19-year-old, issuing a stern warning in a viral Facebook post.
The makeup artist revealed that some men were calling the young Kayole girl, asking inappropriate questions and making rude remarks.
Rose cautioned them against “sniffing around” the young girl, noting that she would personally deal with anyone who tried.
