How Majembe beat Mbavu Destroyer to win Vurugu Fight
Portifas Odipo, better known as Majembe Chimba Chimba, had the last laugh of what began as a TikTok feud, knocking out his competitor in the fourth round.
Majembe landed a decisive, controversial punch that sent Mvbavu Destroyer gasping for air and effectively ruled him out of the match. The punch left fans divided, with many questioning whether it landed on the stomach or the lower abdomen, which would have been illegal under boxing rules.

Despite receiving immediate medical attention on the ring, Mbavu Destroyer pulled out of the match, leaving the judges to declare Majembe as the unanimous winner by a TKO (total knockout) decision.
“Mbavu Destroyer cannot continue with the fight; we are now going back to the scorecards. Judge 1: 30 red corner, 27 blue corner. Judge 2: 30 red corner, 27 blue corner. Judge 3: 30 red corner, blue corner 27. The winner by TKO is red corner Portifas Odipo, aka Majembe,” announced the match commisioner to the packed crowed at the Kasarani Indoor Arena
How much will Majembe get after beating Mbavu Destroyer?
Majembe is now set to walk away with millions of shillings in cash and gifts, thanks to the lofty promises made by different entities before the game.
For starters, he will be one million richer thanks to President William Ruto, who had earlier pledged the money to each boxer, irrespective of who would win.

However, Majembe will pull away from his nemesis by receiving a car, a Toyota Noah, from Odi Bets, one of the main sponsors of the event organised by comedian and show host Steven Thompson, famously known as Oga Obinna. Majembe will also get a Taro GP1 sport bike valued at roughly KSh400,000, and a one-year gym membership.
A Kenyan woman had also pledged KSh 1.2 million to the winner of the fight, and should she fulfil her pledge, Majembe will get KSh 2.2 million in cash money alone.
