President William Ruto and his wife, First Lady Rachel Ruto, presented an art piece to the newlyweds.
Other high-profile attendees were Nakuru governor Susan Kihika and her husband, businessman Sam Mburu, with her stepson, Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and his wife, CS Kipchumba Murkomen and his wife.

Kalenjin artist Joel Kimetto also performed for the parents, and the president led in the dance and chats, and other leaders joined him and his wife on the dance floor.
A video of the fleet of cars used by the bride and groom to move around the city has sparked conversation on social media.
The fleet of cars was made up of German luxury cars, the G-Wagons, which had customised plates.
There was also a mixture of Range Rovers and Toyota V8s.
The SUVs had flowery details attached to them and the number plates read ‘Terry and Ronnie.’
