“This child told me some troubling things, and today… he told me these things when all these started until when the mum was slain, these children saw everything. This young one does not want to even hear that we are going to their home, he holds me,” she said.

“When Kiptoo sees me alone, he tells me ‘don’t leave me, I don’t want to go back home; granny, don’t let us go back. When I stay alone, I feel like someone can come and catch me. I fear a lot.’ I promised them that I won’t leave them, that I will take care of them,” she said.

According to the granny, the young one said they are not going back home, where there was blood. The young one knows the mother was killed, but he did not know that it was the father.

“I told him yesterday morning,” said the grieving grandmother.

How did Faith’s son react to dad’s actions?

It has emerged that Kiptoo, the oldest child of the couple, knew that the dad had a mistress identified as Chebile.

“I told the child to be calm and not repeat the words because of my son-in-law, who had called me. Of all my sons-in-law, he was the only one who used to call me,” said Chepngeno’s mum.

“When an in-law calls, I usually call my child to pick up the call, and Kiptoo had told me about the other woman,” said the grieving granny.

Faith’s sister also spoke about the affair and how it disturbed her late sibling; she said that he was given KSh 7,000 by his mother-in-law and reportedly sent it to his mistress instead of paying fees.
